Communicating in this day and age has its challenges. In the old days, there was one or two ways to communicate with a person or a group of people. Today, we have a multitude of channels to use, and the trick is to make sure that everyone gets the message. We are trying to use the shotgun approach to allow everyone to get the message in a way that they prefer. One of the things that most of these channels fail at is the ability to communicate back. Communication is a two-way street and the only way that we can address issues is if the person with the issue or question communicates back to the team. Another issue is that sometimes the person cannot get through immediately. If that happens, please call again because the person that you are trying to reach might be otherwise engaged and will need to get back to you. I know that in today’s world we are used to getting immediate responses but if someone does not answer, make sure to leave a voicemail or text them so that they can respond as soon as they come available. We are going to list the ways that we try to get the messages out to everyone below in hopes that if you are not aware of one of these channels you can use them in the future
For me personally, the best is face to face followed up by a phone call and third is a text. If you have a question or need something, please reach out to your supervisor or anyone else in the management team so that you can get clarity and direction.
